Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council will be providing a free collection service for householders who wish to dispose of hazardous waste on Saturday, 16th January at the Eden Park Recycling Centre, Glasthule between 8:30am – 3:30pm.
The following items of hazardous household waste will be accepted:
Aerosol Cans
Antifreeze and Coolants
Batteries
Cleaning Agents, Bleaches, Detergents
Engine Oil, Oil Containers and Filters
Fluorescent Tubes and Energy Saving Light bulbs
Glues and Adhesives
Ink Cartridges
Old Medicines and Cosmetics
Paint Thinners and Strippers
Pesticides, Herbicides, Insecticides
Solvent-based Paint and Paint Cans
Veterinary Medicines (No Sharp Items)
Waste Cooking Oil
This service is provided free of charge. Only items listed above will be accepted. No unlabelled items or water based paint will be accepted.
The service is limited to volume restrictions and will be provided until the maximum capacity of the collection vehicle is reached.
