Fianna Fáil Councillor, Cormac Devlin has reminded several community and sporting groups about the deadline for applications to the Council's Community Grants Scheme 2016 which is fast approaching. The deadline is Monday 2nd November.
The purpose of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to individuals, groups and organisations engaged in projects, events or developments at local or county level. These grants will encourage the development of as broad a range of local community activities and services as possible, and ensure that the limited financial resources available are used to the maximum benefit of the community at large.
The rules for applications are set out on the following link; click here. In 2015, a total of 347 applications were awarded a total of €660,620.25 in grant funding.
