Councillor Cormac Devlin raised at the April Area Committee Meeting the need for the footpaths along Rochestown Avenue to be repaired.
Question:
To ask the Manager to ensure that footpaths along Rochestown Avenue (particularly) between Sefton Estate and Kensington Lodge Estate are raised to a sufficient height from the road, as the footpath along this section is at the same level of the road and is extremely dangerous for pedestrians to walk along especially in the evening time. I would ask that this be given the utmost priority as many pedestrians use the path to go to buses, shops and schools?
Reply:
The height of the footpaths along Rochestown Avenue particularly between Sefton Estate and Kensington Lodge Estate will be examined in relation to the height adjoining the adjacent road carriageway and only if it is deemed particularly unsafe and subject to available funding, will it be replaced.
